EA’s VP of Public Relations has threatened to ban Battlefield 2042 leakers from playing the full version of the game if they don’t hand over their game keys. This comes after a recent ruling that prohibited the use of a Battlefield 3 cheat program, which allowed you to get free in-game weapons and accessories. According to the ruling, the cheat program was against the company’s rules, and the use of it was “prohibited by this EA policy.”
Battlefield 2042 is an upcoming first-person shooter video game in development by DICE. It is planned to be released worldwide on September 27, 2018 on Windows platforms. Numerous Battlefield fans have expressed their disappointment at the fact that the game’s beta is restricted to EA Access membership holders only.

Despite being under a tight NDA, a growing number of Battlefield 2042 enthusiasts who were fortunate enough to get inside the multiplayer shooter’s current technical playtest have chosen to post pictures and videos of their experiences in the game.
Naturally, EA and DICE aren’t pleased about it, and have issued a few cautions, including the possibility that playtesters who break their agreements won’t be allowed to play the game in its final form.
EA Studios’ lead community manager Adam “PartWelsh” Freeman has left a couple of Twitter posts reminding Battlefield 2042 playtesters that if they continue to break the rules, they will lose access to the technical playtest, future EA tests, and, potentially, “access to 2042 itself when it releases,” according to the company.
According to Freeman, EA has already removed “enough” of individuals who broke its NDA in the last 48 hours, indicating that there is a lot more Battlefield 2042 material being leaked than the first footage that was posted online. They are not permitted to participate in the playtest over the weekend.
The situation is funny because it contrasts sharply with how some other studios are handling playtests for their forthcoming shooters. In the technical preview for Halo Infinite, Microsoft and 343 Industries, for example, enabled Halo enthusiasts to broadcast and share anything they desired. Both of these much awaited films will be released this autumn.
